On September 12, the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) opened in Beijing, co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM) and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality. ZCMU National TCM Service Export Base (hereafter called the Base for short) with Chinese characteristics was invited to exhibit at the Zhejiang exhibition area within the main exhibition area of the China National Convention Center.
In the CIFTIS, ZCMU showcased its latest advancements in services, such as TCM education, diagnosis and treatment, scientific research, cultural transmission and Internet Plus since the Base was certified. In a live interview on Zhejiang Satellite TV, Gu Jingjing, the deputy director of ZCMU International Relations Office, particularly introduced the global promotion of TCM carried out by the Base in two ways “bring in” and “go global”. Tang Wenhong, the assistant of MOFCOM minister, Hu Zhenfang, the deputy director of the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, and other leaders participated in the event and conducted in-depth examination and guidance. Hu Zhenfang held that we should strengthen and expand foreign TCM trade services by making good use of the Base’s geographic advantages. Wu Chengliang, Vice President of ZCMU, also presented. He proposed to foster the export of TCM-based products based on education services, diagnosis and treatment services and cultural transmission. The cooperative enterprises of the Base, including GOH (Zhejiang) Health Technology Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Huarun Yingte Traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd., and Hangzhou Ganzhicao Technology Co., Ltd. (Gancao Doctor) also joined the event.
CIFTIS 2024 attracted more than 450 companies from Fortune Global 500 and leading industry players to attend its offline events under the theme of “Global Services, Shared Prosperity”. Zhejiang province, adopting the theme “Zhejiang Services, Serving the World”, showcased its new services, intelligent manufacturing, and emerging business models through one comprehensive and six specialized exhibition areas. ZCMU has been invited successive times to participate in CIFTIS, which vividly reflects that the Base is making great efforts to develop the international brand “TCM in Zhejiang, Chinese Medicinals Made in Zhejiang” and helps to realize the goal “Zhejiang Model, Domestic First-Class, Embracing the World”.
