    News|ZCMU Signed Cooperation Agreement with BSMU

    Recently, Wen Chengping, Vice President of ZCMU, led a delegation to Belarus to further the next phase of development for the China-Belarus Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), as outlined by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The delegation also visited Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU) and Belarusian State University to explore cooperation in talent cultivation and innovative research in the field of TCM.



    On the morning of August 20, the delegation visited BSMU. After much discussion, ZCMU and BSMU signed a cooperation agreement. Wen Chengping and Sokolov Yuri, Vice President of BSMU, who is in charge of academic affairs, signed the agreement. The ceremony was witnessed by Roudenok Vasili, Vice President of BSMU, who is in charge of international affairs, Professor Sivakov Alexander, who is both a professor at the Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of Healthcare and the Chief TCM Expert of the Ministry of Health of Belarus, as well as Ma Ruijie, Vice President of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University.



    During the signing ceremony, representatives from both universities presented an overview of their universities and highlighted their key disciplines. They focused on collaborative efforts in talent cultivation, clinical cooperation, and research innovation, and reached consensus on shared goals and aspirations. The delegation also took the opportunity to visit the university museum and anatomical laboratory during their stay.



    Founded in 1921 as the Faculty of Medicine of Belarusian State University, BSMU became an independent educational institution in 1930 and was officially renamed Belarusian State Medical University in 2001. It is the most prestigious medical university in Belarus, with faculties such as Faculty of General Medicine, Pediatric Faculty, Military Medicine Institute, Dental Faculty, Faculty of Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Career Guidance and pre-University Training. Currently, it has over 7,000 students enrolled, including nearly 2,000 international students.
