    News|The Delegation of Singapore Association for Promoting Chinese Medicines Visited ZCMU

    On May 10, 2024, a delegation of seven, led by Chen Xiumeng, President of the Association for Promoting Chinese Medicines, Singapore, visited ZCMU for an academic exchange.

    Wu Chengliang, Vice President of ZCMU, along with heads from International Relations Office, Social Cooperation Department, and International Education College, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. The meeting was facilitated by Wang Ying, Director of International Relations Office.



    On behalf of ZCMU, Wu Chengliang warmly greeted the delegation. Following an overview of the ZCMU’s recent development, Wu Chengliang proposed an initiative to deepen cooperation in fields such as traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) education, academic cooperation, technological innovation, project development, etc. Chen Xiumeng and Cheng Daojian, President of the World Traditional Medicine and Healthcare Association, Singapore, respectively shared their associations’ development history and accomplishments under the “ASEAN Go Global” initiative, which aimed at both “bringing in investment” and “going global” for TCM. They expressed a keen interest in leveraging ZCMU’s strengths in talent cultivation, clinical practice, and scientific research to foster mutually beneficial partnerships.



    Wang Ying and Dong Minhua gave brief overviews of the ZCMU’s academic development and its education program for international students. Subsequently, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding Singapore’s TCM policies, strategic planning, and the implementation of specific collaborative projects. Finally, with friendly interactions, both parties signed a memorandum of understanding to initiate comprehensive cooperation in the field of TCM, commemorated with a group photo.



    During their visit to ZCMU, the Singapore TCM Health Delegation also toured the Zhejiang Chinese Medicine Museum and the Fang Hui Chun Tang, and engaged in collaborative exchanges with the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University.
