On May 16, the inauguration ceremony of “CONBA Chinese Medicine School of ZCMU” was held in Binwen Campus, which is the first provincial key support modern industrial school of ZCMU. The ceremony is attended by Chen Zhong, President of ZCMU, Pan Yingsong, Assistant General Manager of Zhejiang International Business Group Co., Ltd. and Minister of Party Committee Organization Department, Ying Chunxiao, Secretary of Party Committee and Co-Chairman of Zhejiang CONBA Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and representatives from functional departments of ZCMU and enterprises. Huang Jianbo, Vice President of ZCMU hosted the ceremony.

Chen Zhong pointed out in his speech that the inauguration of CONBA School is not only a continuation and expansion of the previous cooperation between the school and the enterprise, but also a new starting point for all-round and in-depth cooperation. He hoped that ZCMU and CONBA would carry out all-round and multi-level cooperation in science and technology innovation, talent training, industrial development, cultural inheritance and rural revitalization in the field of Chinese medicine and life and health, to build a platform for the introduction of high-level talents, training of high-level students, training of highly skilled practitioners and incubation of high-tech industrial projects for the whole province, and become a new high ground for cultivating talents to promote the innovation and industrial development of Chinese medicine.

Pan Yingsong said the joint establishment of the CONBA School is a strong combination of TCM schools and enterprises. The industrial school will further develop their respective advantages in talent training, scientific research, technological innovation, enterprise services, innovation and entrepreneurship, deepen cooperation, innovate institutional mechanisms, and contribute to the cultivation of high-quality innovative, complex and application-oriented talents who can adapt to and lead the development of TCM health industry.

Qin Luping, dean of the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, said in his speech on behalf of the Council that as a specific institution to undertake the construction of the provincial modern industrial school of ZCMU, the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences will work together with CONBA.

Chen Zhong and Ying Chunxiao jointly inaugurated the CONBA Chinese Medicine School of ZCMU and issued certificates to the council members.

The construction of modern industrial schools is an important measure for ZCMU to implement the construction goals of a first-class TCM university, enhance the ability of ZCMU to serve the demonstration area of the comprehensive reform of Chinese medicine and the demonstration area of high-quality development of common prosperity, and solidly promote the construction of first-class talent training. During the “14th Five-Year Plan”, ZCMU plans to build four to five new University-level modern industrial schools in biomedicine, life and health services, intelligent medicine and other fields. Currently, ZCMU has built three university-level industrial schools in traditional Chinese medicine, nursing and health care, and audiology, among which CONBA Chinese Medicine School of ZCMU has become a provincial key industrial school construction institution.
