On May 15, Huang Luqi, Deputy Director of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the delegation visited ZCMU for investigation and guidance. The investigation is participated by: Wei Chunyu, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Huang Wenxiu, Secretary of the Party Committee of ZCMU, Chen Zhong, President of ZCMU, Wu Chengliang, Wen Chengping and Huang Jianbo, Vice Presidents of ZCMU, Xu Zhifeng, President of New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine and Feng Li, Dean of New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine. Huang Wenxiu presided over the research forum.
Huang Wenxiu said that ZCMU is in a critical period of building itself into a first-class TCM university, and further improvements are needed in disciplines, talent teams, education and teaching reform, and affiliated hospitals. Opinions and suggestions should be widely listened to in the overseas development of TCM. He hoped that all departments and units of ZCMU will earnestly implement it and take concrete actions to promote the high-quality development of TCM.
Chen Zhong introduced the construction of the first-class University of TCM in ZCMU from the aspects of basic advantages, strategic paths, practical results and so on. He emphatically reported the progress of the "Eight First-class" project of ZCMU and the foreign exchange situation. He also introduced in detail ZCMU’s scientific research, talent training, teacher education, discipline construction and other aspects. Chen said ZCMU will continue to improve its education level, continuously enhance core competitiveness, and speed up the construction of a first-class TCM university characterized with cultural inheritance and innovation.
Wu Chengliang reported on the construction of the China-New Zealand Traditional Chinese Medicine Center and National TCM Service Export Base.
Wen Chengping made a report on the establishment of the Jinhua Research Institute and Digital Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute at ZCMU.
At the meeting, all participants communicated with the China-New Zealand Chinese Medicine Center through an online video connection.
After hearing the report, Huang Luqi congratulated the achievements of ZCMU in recent years, and put forward prospects and suggestions on brand building, talent training, team building, TCM technology communication and other aspects of the construction of overseas centers such as the China-New Zealand Chinese Medicine Center. He hoped that ZCMU could give full play to the characteristics and advantages of TCM and enhance the dissemination of TCM culture to build ZCMU brand of high-quality TCM culture, promote the high-quality development of overseas centers, and promote the inheritance and innovation of excellent traditional culture.
Before the meeting, Huang Luqi and the delegation also visited the Zhejiang Chinese Medicine Museum.
