On February 3rd, 2022, Huzhou Central Hospital witnessed the establishment ceremony of the Fifth School of Clinical Medicine of ZCMU. ZCMU President Chen Zhong, Huzhou Vice Mayor Ruan Yeping, ZCMU Vice President Huang Jianbo, Huzhou Government Deputy Secretary-General Shen Yueqiang, Huzhou Health Commission Director and Party Secretary Rao Rufeng, Huzhou Central Hospital Party Secretary Ma Jianming attended the ceremony.

President Chen noted that Huzhou Central Hospital and ZCMU have a long-lasting  collaboration in teaching and the establishment of the School started a new chapter of medicine-teaching synergy and mutual development for both sides. ZCMU will further guide the Hospital’s teaching and research with its unique advantages to enhance the clinical doctors’ teaching and research competence and the medicine-teaching synergy of the Hospital. He hoped that the Hospital could improve its facilities and services based on the School’s criteria to become a higher-quality learning and practice platform for medical talents, and that the two sides could make greater achievements in talent cultivation, discipline construction, science and technology innovation, social services, etc.

Huzhou Vice Mayor Ruan pointed out this collaboration was a beneficial attempt and served as a driving force for cross-regional medical care and traditional Chinese medicine. Ruan hoped that the two sides, under the preconditions of resource sharing, mutual complementing, benefiting and developing, could continuously strengthen personnel exchanges, research sharing, and discipline construction to promote medicine-teaching-research integration and coordinative development. She also expected that the two sides could work towards the modernization of the Hospital’s administration, introduction of high-level medical talents and medical system reform, and foster the Hospital’s full-fledged development into a research hospital and sharing of medical resources so as to progress in science and technology, innovation and preparation development, and become a model of medicine-teaching collaboration.

Rao Rufeng hoped that the Hospital could better work on integration, study, collaboration, etc., with the establishment of the School to improve medical services and ensure a higher-quality development of the Hospital, thus contributing more to the people’s well-being.

Ma Jianming remarked that the Hospital would improve its medical services in a much faster speed, advance technology innovation, prioritize talents, further overall smart governance, strive to become the most beautiful hospital, and strengthen medicine-teaching integration for the development of the School.
