Recently, the First Affiliated Hospital of ZCMU (Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine) was selected as the "National Demonstration Center for Clinical Teaching and Training of TCM" by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is the third national teaching platform for university students of ZCMU, in addition to the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Teaching and the National Off-Campus Practice Education Base for University Students. A total of 33 affiliated hospitals of universities (units) are recognized as National Demonstration Center for Clinical Teaching and Training in China. The selection to the National Demonstration Center for Clinical Teaching and Training of TCM has recognized the teaching construction, the quality of talent training and the social influence of ZCMU and the affiliated hospital.

The First Affiliated Hospital of ZCMU and the First Clinical College of ZCMUadopt the "school- hospital unity" school-running mode to establish advantageous disciplines and first-class disciplines, innovate the mode of TCM education and training, and improve the quality of talent training. There are 3 national first-class undergraduate disciplines, 512 high-level "double-position teachers" such as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, National TCM Masters and nationally renowned TCM doctors in the First Clinical College (the First Affiliated Hospital). Besides, the First Clinical College provides 24 national and provincial online and offline courses, including "Traumatology of Traditional Chinese Medicine" and "Orthopedics and Traumatology of Traditional Chinese Medicine". From 2017 to 2021, the passing rate of TCM majors in the national TCM qualification examination ranked first for five consecutive years. In the finals of the TCM Track of 10th China University Students Medical Skills Competition, the gold medal was awarded with second place in the total score. In 2021, the passing rate of basic knowledge of TCM in the academic level test for TCM majors (undergraduate) and the mastery rate of "TCM Internal Medicine" ranked first among all universities and institutions. Moreover, a large number of high-level academic papers were published by postgraduates, and their passing rate of sample inspection of graduation thesis reached 100%.
