On December 30, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between ZCMU, Jinhua Municipal Government and China Resources Sanjiu Medical & Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was held. At the ceremony, ZCMU signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Jinhua Municipal Government and a contract to build the Jinhua Institute of ZCMU. Besides, ZCMU signed a framework agreement with the Jinhua Municipal Government and China Resources Sanjiu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to establish the Central Zhejiang Laboratory. Zhu Chonglie, Secretary of the CPC Jinhua Municipal Committee; Xing Zhihong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jinhua Municipal Committee and Mayor of Jinhua; Huang Wenxiu, Secretary of the Party Committee of ZCMU; Chen Zhong, President of ZCMU; Wen Chengping, Vice President of ZCMU; Huang Aijun, Member of Party Committee of ZCMU, Director of Organizational Department and Director of High-level Talents Office, attended the signing ceremony. Qiu Huawei, Chairman of China Resources Sanjiu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., participated in the ceremony online.

Chen Zhong and Xing Zhihong signed the agreement on behalf of two sides.

Huang Wenxiu and Zhu Chonglie unveiled the plaque for the Jinhua Institute of ZCMU and Central Zhejiang Laboratory.

Zhu Chonglie stated in his speech that Jinhua Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government would support the development of the Jinhua Institute of ZCMU and Central Zhejiang Laboratory and deepen the cooperation on innovation between theJinhua Municipal Government, ZCMU and China Resources Sanjiu Medical & Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.. To accelerate the building of a high-capacity science and innovation platform for the Jinhua Institute of ZCMU and Central Zhejiang Laboratory, he hoped that the three parties could rely on ZCMU’s discipline and talent advantages, as well as the commercialization and market capacity of leading enterprises, and gather high-end innovation resources. Moreover, to promote the linkage between upstream and downstream industries and to advance the development of various clusters are essential. Besides, deep-level cooperation around talent cultivation, resource sharing, project construction, social services, etc. must be carried out to provide a win-win development for the threeparties.

Chen Zhong presented in his speech that the signing of the cooperation agreement and the inauguration of Jinhua Institute of ZCMU and Central Zhejiang Laboratory were the expansion of the previous cooperation among the government, university and enterprise, as well as the starting point for deeper collaboration. Chen Zhong hoped that the three parties would carry out all-round and multi-level cooperation in TCM and life health, including scientific and technological innovation, medical services, industrial development, cultural inheritance and rural revitalization. The three parties need to focus on creating high-capacity platforms, such as Zhejiang Provincial Laboratory, take Jinhua Institute as the core and jointly build a new type of R&D institution integrating talent attraction and cultivation, scientific and technological research and development, and transformation of results. In doing so, the development of the strong TCM culture in Zhejiang and Healthy Zhejiang can be accelerated.

Qiu Huawei noted in the speech that signing the agreement would strengthen the cooperation with Jinhua City and ZCMU and realize the docking of their respective resources. In addition, it could promote the implementation of the cooperation projects in the strategic agreement; advance the construction of a high-capacity science and innovation platform for Central Zhejiang Laboratory. In this way, the three parties would jointly attract and cultivatetop talents, carry out research and development projects, promote the transformation of scientific research results, and together push forward the integration of Jinhua City into the development of the "National Demonstration Zone for the Comprehensive Reform of TCM" in Zhejiang Province.

After the signing ceremony, Huang Wenxiu and the delegation visited the transitional site of Jinhua Institute of ZCMU and the planned building blocks of Central Zhejiang Laboratory in Jinhua Science and Technology City.
