Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Regional Innovation and Development Joint Fund Project, Provincial Scientific Research Projects and Basic Public Welfare Research Project of Zhejiang Province were announced. Thirteen major projects of ZCMU were approved. Among them were two NSFC Regional Innovation and Development Joint Fund Projects, five Provincial Scientific Research Projects in 2023, one Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of Provincial Basic Public Welfare Research Projects, three key projects, and two key projects of Joint Fund in 2023.

ZCMU has comprehensively promoted the scientific research projects application in recent years and has done a great job of project selection and quality improvement through special counselling. In addition, ZCMU held the lecture series around the theme of seeking truth in science, the declaration lecture tour of NSFC, experience-sharing sessions for young teachers, and training for scientific research ability enhancement. Therefore, ZCMU has advanced synergistic interaction between internal and external resources, enhanced academic dialogue and communication, and improved the faculty’s scientific research ability, thus creating an excellent academic atmosphere.
