On November 16, the International Relations Office held a conference on youth global competence training and sharing experience in studying abroad.
Wang Jingna, Deputy Director of the Office, introduced the background of the Youth Global Competence Training Project and the overseas exchange programs in detail. She put forward three suggestions to the Youth Global Competence Excelling Class students.
I. To enhance the team cohesiveness of the class and jointly build an atmosphere of unity and mutual improvement.
II. To build an international perspective, optimize the mindset, promote self-awareness, and enlarge development potential.
III. To improve competitiveness, cherish the opportunity, and live up to expectations.
QiJini from the Fourth School of Clinical Medicine shared her understanding of the project and introduced the courses she took, including China’s Approaches to Global Governance, Future Technological Development, Innovation Entrepreneurship, and Writing Skills for International Communications. She also shared her insights about participating in the program.
Li Hangbin from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences shared why and how she got an internship in an international organization, the application process, the internship’s content, and her gains.
Jiang Yishuo from the First School of Clinical Medicine shared her experience and opinionsabout participating in the exchange program at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. She also advised the students who will join the exchange programin 2023.
As a representative of graduate students, Huang Yan from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences shared her views on her study trip to the University of Macau. Huang shared her three-month study life at the University of Macau and how the exchange program influenced her.
In the end, some participants asked about studying abroad, and the staff patiently answered questions.
This meeting symbolized a summary of this year’s student exchange work and a valuable initiative for the International Relations Office to listen to students’ voices. The Office will continue to develop new exchange programs for students and help ZCMU go global.
