On October 20, the socially usefulactivity "Campus Tour·Editosr-in-Chief Analyze Textbook," organized by the Office of Textbook of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and China Pressof Traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd. in cooperation with all higher Chinese medical colleges and universities was held at ZCMU. It was hosted by Li Zhanyong, Associate Managing Editor of China Press of Traditional Chinese Medicine Co. Ltd.

Prof. Chen Zhong, President of ZCMU, stated that the construction of teaching materials is essential for cultivating talents. From 2016 to 2020, 81 staff have served as editors-in-chief and 165 associate editors of various textbooks at all levels from ZCMU. Since 2021, ZCMU has successfully established 39 industry planning textbooks edited by ZCMU. Besides, in 2022, ZCMU was approved to be a provincial research base for Chinese medicine textbooks.

Prof. Wang Qi, National TCM Master, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and International and Eurasian Academy of Sciences, sent a recommendation video. He said that Prof. Fan Yongsheng set up the section "Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment and Essentials" based on previous editions of the textbook. The section helps cultivate students’ clinical thinking and better adapt to clinical work, and promotes teachers’ teaching and students’ learning by using rich digital resources.

Prof. Fan Yongsheng, a Famous Teacher of National TCM Colleges and Universities; a National Famous TCM Doctor; Leading Scientist in the National Key Basic Research Program; Honorary Chairman of the Specialized Committee of Rheumatism, Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine; Former President of ZCMU and Editor-in-chiefof the Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber, a nationaltextbook for higher education in Chinese medicine; gave a lecture online and offline.

With the theme of "Teaching and Learning of Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber," Prof. Fan Yongsheng explained in detail the positioning of the textbook in Chinese medicine talent training, the changes, characteristics, and the use of the textbook. He shared the changes in the textbook Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber from the first edition to the eleventh edition. Prof. Fan pointed out that the selected original text was based on the annotated textbook written by National TCM Master He Ren, and based on the previous editions of the textbook, the chapter composition of the textbook has been revised, and the content of the textbook has been increased or decreased.

Taking "Inherit the Classics, Adhere to the Integrity and Innovation - Editors-in-chief of the Textbook and Famous Teachers Giving the Lecture" as the theme, the main venue was set up in Beijing, and the parallel session at ZCMU, which was held online and offline. ZCMU was the co-organizer of the activity.
