ZCMU’s rankings in Chinese Medicine, Chinese Pharmacy, Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, and Nursing progressed in the Best Chinese Subjects Ranking 2022 released by Shanghai Ranking, a higher education accreditation organization, on September 21st. Chinese Medicine was ranked 5th, up 2 places compared to 2021 and Chinese Pharmacy, 6th, up 1 place, both of which were among the top 12% worldwide.

ZCMU was ranked 5th in the Ranking of Chinese Medical Universities 2022 by Shanghai Ranking. According to the ESI data released in May 2022, the newly-added Biology and Biochemistry was included among the global top 1% subjects. ZCMU thus has 3 global top 1% subjects and is ranked 2nd among Chinese medical universities. Besides, ZCMU has two subjects listed among the global top 5‰ according to ESI data updated on September 2022, namely, Clinical Medicine(1943rd, up 180 places compared to last year) and Pharmacology & Toxicology(417th, up 77 places).
