Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (ZCMU), as a key university in Zhejiang Province, is jointly constructed by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. ZCMU now sets 18 schools and has 4 directly affiliated hospitals with Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Chinese Materia Medica as its leading subjects. ZCMU has established cooperative relationships with more than 130 educational, scientific research and medical units in over 43 countries and regions.

Authorized by Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MOST), ZCMU is offeringanonline International Training Workshop of TCM External Treatment to doctors and experts from the "belt and road" countries in July 2022.

Course structure

3  Course outline

3.1  Lectures. Theories of TCM External Treatment, including the origin of TCM external treatment, acupuncture treatment of pain, massage treatment of cervical spondylosis, clinical application of cupping therapy in internal diseases, pediatric diseases, surgical diseases, etc. And health care technology such as Baduanjin, five-animal exercise, etc.

3.2  Clinical practices. Display the skills and standard operation of various commonly used TCM externalTreatment.

3.3  TCMCultureImmersion. A virtual tour to Zhejiang TCM Museum.

4  Certificate awarding

A certificate of completion will be issued by MOST to those whocomplete the course and pass the assessment.

Application

1  eligibility

1.1  Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a nationality in “belt and road” countries.

1.2  Applicants shall have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree to a Bachelor's degree (or above), under the age of 60.

1.3  Applicants shall have education background in TCM, Conventional Medicineorcorresponding specialties with no less than 2 years’ working experience in medical related field.

1.4  Applicants shall be proficientin English.
