    News|First Issue of ZCMU International Academic Journal CCMP officially Released

    On January 12, the first International Summit Academic Forum and Establishing Conference of CCMP (Clinical Complementary Medicine and Pharmacology) was held in Binwen Campus, Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. Co-organized by Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and Elsevier Publishing Company, the conference was held both online and offline. Professor Chen Zhong, Editor-in-Chief of CCMP and President of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, introduced the journal’s inauguration process, and Professor Wen Chengping, Executive Editor of CCMP and Vice President of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, hosted the conference.



    CCMP, sponsored by Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and published online by the international publishing company Elsevier, is an international open-access peer-reviewed academic journal in the fields of integrative medicine and complementary and alternative medicine. It is selected as a High Starting Point New Publication Project of the 2021 China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan.



    Chu Beibei, Director of Publicity Department of Ministry of Propaganda of Zhejiang Province; Ying Xiangwei, Director of Zhejiang Provincial Society of Editology for Scientific and Technological Periodicals; Fang Yan, Director of the College Periodical Branch of Zhejiang Province Association for Higher Education and other guests were invited to the conference. More than 50 editorial board members, reviewers and author representatives from more than 10 countries attended the conference online, including Helen Habernickel, Elsevier journal administrator. Nearly 20 experts sent congratulatory messages for the conference, including Huang Luqi, Honorary Editor-in-Chief of CCMP; She Yu, Director of the Journal Management Office of the China Association of Chinese Medicine; He Jialang, Vice President of the board of directors of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies; Professor Wang Yitao from the University of Macau, and Professor Ma Yuling from Oxford University.

    Professor Chen Zhong, Editor-in-Chief of CCMP and President of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, introduced the journal’s establishing process from 2019-2021 in 3 aspects: journal overview, establishing background and establishing course, wishing the editorial board would take being selected for the High Starting Point New Publication Project as a new start to strive to become a high-level journal despite all the difficulties.



    Ms. Helen Habernickel, Executive Publisher of Elsevier, introduced the real-time data obtained since the first issue of CCMP was released online in December 2021. 10 research papers in the field of complementary medicine from China, the United States, Nigeria, India and other countries were published in the first issue of CCMP. The total number of paper downloads has now exceeded 30000, including more than 28,000 downloads of a single paper and more than 1,100 times of global media attention for the hot articles.

    Prof. Xu Guangxing, Executive Editor of CCMP, reported the journal work summary of 2021 and systematically analyzed the achievements and problems of CCMP in 2021. Prof. Zhang Yuehong, Senior Editor of BDM and Mr. Liu Shihua, Manager of Clarivate Analytics, made a strategic analysis report for the follow-up development of CCMP.

    In the International Summit Academic Forum, top scholars around the world and editors-in-chief, associate editors and executive editors of several TOP journals brought the audience an academic feast in the field of medicine. Prof. Lv Liwei from the University of Hong Kong, Prof. Jae Youl Cho from Sungkyunkwan University, Prof. Kohji Fukunaga from Tohoku University, Prof. He Tongchuan from the University of Chicago, Prof. Thomas Efferth from the University of Mainz and Prof. Wang Chunming from the University of Macau introduced academic breakthroughs, new methods and clinical applications in various fields from multiple perspectives. More than 1300 audiences attended the lectures online.
