The Zhejiang Chinese Medicine Museum of ZCMU is recognized as a member of the eighth batch of science popularization education bases in Zhejiang Province. There are 98 education bases in the eighth batch.

Zhejiang Chinese Medicine Museum was built in 2009, and then opened with the approval of the Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau. In 2019, the new museum was put into use. Owning a construction area of 5000 square meters and an exhibition area of 3200 square meters, it is the first provincial-level comprehensive TCM museum in Zhejiang Province, a national second-class museum, a national science education base and a science education base for youth in Hangzhou. Receiving more than 30000 visitors and scholars from home and abroad a year, it is rated as the 2021 most popular cultural venue in Zhejiang Province and plays an active role in spreading and promoting TCM culture and popularizing scientific TCM knowledge.

In the following steps, the museum will further strengthen the research of TCM culture, enhance the construction connotation and expand service functions. Meanwhile, ZCMU will give full play to the importance of the museum in supporting teaching, popularizing scientific knowledge, promoting scientific research and enriching the spiritual and cultural life of college students. Efforts will be made to build the museum into an important platform for promoting TCM culture, popularizing TCM knowledge, an essential base for inheriting Zhejiang TCM and displaying TCM resources, a significant window for displaying ZCMU spirit and building a cultural campus, and a popular cultural landmark that is welcomed by the regional residents.
