On March 12, Zhejiang Chinese Medicine University (ZCMU) was listed as one of the second batch of "National TCM Service Export Bases" announced by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of China. On April 8,  "National TCM Service Export Base" of ZCMU officially started its construction.

As a teaching and research-oriented university with TCM and Chinese Materia Medica as our leading disciplines, we are among the first batch of universities in China to recruit and cultivate postgraduates of TCM and the first batch of Zhejiang provincial universities to be awarded national key discipline (Clinical Foundation of TCM).

By visiting and investigating many affiliated hospitals and related enterprises, our university built the "1+8849" consortium—one university as the parent body, 8 overseas education service centers (located in seven countries in five continents), 8 international treatment and health centers, 4 national overseas TCM centers (located in four countries in Europe, Asia and Oceania), and 9 TCM enterprises as cooperation points.To build a high-quality TCM service export base, we will apply the model of "Internet and TCM", deepen the services in TCM international education, diagnosis, treatment, health care, scientific research transformation, industrial trade and cultural dissemination, and help "Zhejiang Traditional Chinese Medicine" to go global.
